Buttercream Recipe...

Buttercream icing is by far my most favorite to make and use! It's simply delicious and travels well. I can get serious height, helping to create a ridiculously indulgent treat!

As requested by my awesome blog readers, please enjoy this fantastic recipe!

Jess's Deliciously Simple Buttercream Icing
1/4 c. organic butter
2 tsp. bourbon vanilla extract
4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp heavy cream

Soften butter and combine vanilla and confectioners' sugar. Mix on medium speed until creamy. Add heavy cream to desired consistency(may add more than 1 tsp). Color may now be added.

I tend to use really large icing tips!

  1. how many cupcakes can be iced with this recipe? and what size tip do you use on your piping bag??

  2. Well, its really hard to truly answer that because it depends on the height of your icing! If it were me, with my high icing- prob 10 cupcakes... but I use loads of icing!

    I tend to use the really fat/wide icing tips...will post pic above if I can find one!
