Girl's can have circus parties too you know!!!
This invitation and color scape was designed for a mother of 3 little girls, who wanted a circus themed birthday party for her daughters!
I just love these colors, and the vintage twist. This invite looks fabulous with glitter around the edges of the frame to give it an extra pop, and pizazz... think "circus lights-show time"!
P.S. Date night fabulous, movie not so much of a fan. Books are always so much better then the actual movie, right?!?

Simply put, we need more.
We bought our charming little cottage home 4 years ago. The minute I saw it, I fell in love. Exposed brick, original wood floors, a slate patio, wood burning fire place... a 1940's home that needed a little love. We have given it love, but as much love as we give this space, the one thing we can't do is add more square footage. Now mind you, we can add some- but not as much as we need.
For many more reasons than I can share on this little blog, we most likely will need to move(not 100% sure just yet). Move is a small four letter word, packed with a ton of emotion. Even as I type this post, tears swell in my eyes.
I love this little home. This home has been brought to life, by two people who fell in love, who created a sweet little baby girl, grew a garden, painted until the wee hours of the night, built a pond where life grew even more, a deck and a porch... so many amazing memories. Memories I will forever cherish.
However, as much as we love this space, we can't seem to find a way to make it work.
Soooo this home of ours recently received a visit from a lovely realtor, and in turn we have visited some NOT SO LOVELY homes.
I am worried... concerned that our "new" home doesn't exist! Honestly people, and Realtors listing these homes... ONE WORD- HGTV!
The problem is, I love old homes. Homes built from the 1940's and later. Homes with character, and charm- or so I thought. The homes we saw yesterday, had all the charm on the outside- BUT the minute we stepped inside... YUCK. So much Y.U.C.K I couldn't even breath!
Anyhooo, I warn you my fabulous bloggy readers... this blog may take a bit of a spin from time to time and you may find yourself reading about the trials and tribulations of house hunting and selling! Deep breath...

Theme: Under the Sea
Colors/Patterns: Blue, Orange, Green, White, Polka Dots and Stripes
Center Pieces: Tall Cylinder Vases with Goldfish, Sand and Seaweed
Party Favors: Take Home Goldfish in Glass Bowls with Signature Tags
Such a super fun theme, plus the kids get to take home goldfish! Ohhh and a salty snack bar where guests can make take home goodie bags. You could also fill a pool with water and pretend fish. Then give each child a net, to swoop up their own fish!
The invites can be found at Party Box Design!

You all know how much I love baby showers, really! So designing invites for a shower, so so super fun! However, these two invites took me forever. I actually went to sleep with them on the screen and came back to the computer this morning!
The concept of the invite was designed with my good friend Erica in mind. She is expecting a baby in January, and has a very classic style.
What do you all think, one for a baby boy and the other for a baby girl!?!

As you all know, last week I served on jury duty for 3 days. 3 extremely long days. Serving jury duty in Baltimore City was nothing short of an awful experience, each day being worse then the first. Thankfully, it was 3 days and no more.
The judge was the rudest person I have ever encountered. His questions in open court were quite personal and intrusive during the jury selection. Asking each possible juror if they were married or single, if married what their husbands occupation was, what level of education they received as of yet and their current job. Many prospective jurors were forced to answer a very awkward question, many admitting they were divorced or separated, some not graduating high school. To me, I truly can't see how being married would effect my capabilities as a juror. Ridiculous!
After being selected, I expressed to the judge that my husband worked in the evenings and I was the provider for my child. He did not care. So, I who am a rule following citizen, a person who provides and cares for my child doesn't matter, a citizen who pays their taxes!
During court the juror next to me was texting- TEXTING... and falling asleep! Amazing to me. I leaned over and the judge promptly asked me to sit up, yes sit up. Clearly texting and falling asleep is more acceptable then leaning over to stretch. WOW! Our last day in court, we were asked to be there at 9:25am and proceeded until close to 7pm, not once were we offered a lunch break.
My experience as a juror felt more like what I envision it would feel like as a prisoner. You eat when you are told, you drink when you are told, you have bathroom breaks when you are told, if you have children- it does not matter. If you have an emergency, who cares.
Overall, a very souring experience.

I didn't think it was possible, but here I am typing a quick note- as this lady has jury duty, again... yes a THIRD DAY of jury duty.
There are no words that could possibly describe my feelings as I quickly rush to get ready and out the door, to pay for parking in a garage that costs me $13.
In order to make this day better, I am offering FREE SHIPPING TODAY!
So please be sure to shop away over at Party Box Design!
P.S. I will be enjoying this yummy cocktail this evening!!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Sooooo I totally realize I have been MIA! Sorry guys... so busy with PBD stuff, which is beyond fabulous- MUCH thanks to all my shoppers!
HOWEVER, today I spent the entire - E.N.T.I.R.E day at the court house, thinking what are the actual chances I would be called to sit as a juror. WELL.......... apparently my chances were super high.
I am now juror number 5, beyond annoyed! Soooo needless to say, my turn around time on decor will be slightly delayed by a day or two. Sorry guys!
Buuuut I can't leave without some eye candy!!! How crazy cute is this new invite?!?Hope you all had a fab 4th, and I sooooo realize I also need to pick a winner for the give away and what a fab give away this was!
The LUCKY DUCKY WINNER IS...... Caycee of Hanging with the Hewitts! Caycee, you didn't leave an email addy, so be sure to contact me or My Sunshine Designs!
Hope you are all having the best week ever!

This year, The 4th of July falls on a Sunday. A SUNDAY! This means that my husband will not, yes WILL NOT be working! For the first time in a while, Charlotte and I will not be arriving to an event solo, it almost makes me tear up- well actually it does.
The life of a wife with a husband in the car biz is hard, and lonely and frustrating. We are working towards change(change takes time), but this past year has been nothing short of a struggle... late nights with Brad getting home at 10/11 pm, him working more then ever, and ultimately soothing a child crying for her Daddy at night.
So this 4th is extra extra SWEET, and Charli and I will cherish every moment, celebrating our country, our family and working towards making our dreams for change come true!
Have a fabulous 4th of July everyone!
OHHHH and P.S. Free Shipping from NOW until Sunday! A super sweet thanks to all my PBD Shoppers!
PLUS don't forget about our GIVE AWAY!
