This Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Ball recipe will literally be the best you'll ever make.
I know this, because it's tricked countless kids into thinking it's actually cookie dough!
In fact, when I snapped pics this morning I didn't intend to include Crew, he grabbed a protein ball mid photo! I will tell you there are a few key ingredients you CAN'T swap out. First, the most amazing organic coconut oil butter, it tastes like butter and is so yummy. I use it constantly and the company that produces it, is top notch. The second must have is coconut sugar, the texture and sweetness are perfection for this recipe. Last but not least, don't swap out the nut butter... you must use cashew butter to get that cookie dough flavor!
1 CONTAINER OF CASHEW BUTTER
1/8 TSP OF SALT
1/4 CUP OF COCONUT OIL BUTTER
1/4 CUP OF CHIA SEEDS
1 TSP OF VANILLA EXTRACT
1 CUP OF COCONUT FLOUR
3/4 CUP OF COCONUT SUGAR
1/3 CUP OF OLD FASHIONED OATS
1/3 CUP OF CHOPPED NUTS(walnuts)
3/4 CUP OFVANILLA PROTEIN POWDER
1/3 CUP MINI CHOC CHIPS
Simply add all the ingredients into a big bowl (minus the chocolate chips + nuts). Mix until everything is smooth and the texture of cookie dough, then add the chocolate chips and nuts. Grab a big pan, cover it with wax paper and roll the dough into balls. This recipe will make 24 protein balls. Pop the tray into your freezer, then after about 20 minutes they'll be ready to eat. You must store these in your freezer or fridge... otherwise they won't hold their form.
CHIA SEEDS- rich in omega-3 fatty acids + antioxidants and fiber.
COCONUT OIL- can improve cholesterol levels and boost brain function.
